Yep, I just washed and hand waxed mine today... put on too much turtle wax and the sun baked it... that was a fun 2:45 of wax removal...

Still need to fit that lip on, I was going to do it today, but we had an animal emergency and I had to take a dog to the vet - As long as it is on by Saturday morning, I'm good.

I just got done with the first 2 steps of Meguiars junk. Clayed it last night and it's look very shiny. Hopefully have time for wax tomorrow, then clean the interior and do some other shiny stuff.

I love black cars....sometimes.

I hear ya Laz, black cars look GREAT when clean, but are a pain to get that good looking. When I detailed cars for Saturn, I loved the look of a black Sky Redline when it was finished, but it took twice as long as any other color. Still, the way it looked when it was done would make you have to change your pants if you weren't careful.

I may be half tucked for the meet if I can't get the driver side done in time.

I think Ace was the only bite from SHO, unless people show up without announcing they will be there. As for SolSociety, I keep messing with Mitchness about getting his Sol done. He said he has a buddy here in the KC area, so I told him to tow his Sol down, fix it, and meet us . Ahh well, so it won't be a huge meet, but it should still be fun. Let's just hope the weather stays in the other 60% of that "40% chance of rain".

Anything over 10 sols (outside of Vegas Invasion) is a very impressive meet IMO. So as long as everyone who's committed to turning up comes, we'll break that mark

And yeah, I really hope we don't get any rain, at least for the first several hours. An afternoon/evening storm wouldn't be horrible as we'd be up in KC and have plenty of shelter. Plus, we would have already shown off our clean cars, and night shots in the rain would be amazing (hopefully I remember to pack an umbrella to protect the camera gear).

True, photoshoots of cars on wet pavement at night usually end up looking hella sexy, even if the car isn't in great condition. Something about the way the lighting reflects.
