well, gang, as your regional events co-ordinator, I've been hard at work putting together something that I think will rival Vegas invasion.
Not that I want to take any steam out of the guys meet for the west coast, but if you are like me and can't make it that far, then lets do our own thing here in the mid-west.
I'm calling it "Midwest Motor-Vation"
it's going to take place on april 9th in st. louis (university city to be exact)
But there are going to be a few suprises,
1) We (TeamSolMoKan) are sponsoring a meet/show on April 9th in St. Louis
2) Firestone is also sponsoring this meet/show
3) O'Rielleys auto parts is also sponsoring.
We are going to have a raffle, Firestone is going to give a way a set of tires or two (Fusions to be precise) ORielleys is putting up a few gift cards, and I'm inviting ALL kinds of cars to attend. Lowriders, old-schoolers, new schoolers, imports, Dubs, all of em.
I want to get public support and awareness out there for folks who still think of us import guys as nutty street racers and show that we can be good hosts, and are truly respectable folks.
I think with a good showing from us, and others, we can make it a yearly thing.
And oh, I run the service dept at the firestone that is also sponsoring the event. Bring the cars, bring your friends who have other cars too, let make it THE way to kick off the season for all of the midwest and have a good time while getting together.
My own computer is down, so I'm borrowing a friends to get this put together. a flyer will be sent to Eli (our chapter president) within the next few days, let get them printed out and posted all over town, I've got st louis pretty much covered, but more help is always welcome, I can put up a 4-5 folks at my place if anyone wants to drive in to town on sat the 8th.
