I'm in ... but why must we limit it to one meet in STL. There is a great indoor track off I-70 & Earth City (just east of the Blanchette Bridge where the old IncaHoots was) There are also several tracks (indoor and outdoor) at the St. Louis Mills (West of I-270 on MO 370 and east of the Discovery Bridge). Off MO 370 at N 3rd St (MO 94) there is a an outdoor go cart track as well. All kinds of racing opportunities. There's also Chuck-A-Burger and the cruising nights and Saturday special events for Cruisers ... I could get us on the schedule there as well ... A spring meet makes sense but it might also be fun to have a meet when all the outdoor tracks are open as well ... perhaps midsummer. Why can't we have 2 or more meets in STL this year. I have a couple ideas where we could meet up and take photos. Very scenic places right here in the St. Charles/Earth City area that are vacant on weekends. Perhaps we could meet at one of the Honda Dealerships (there is one on the I-70 North Frontage Road between Mid-Rivers and Cave Springs/Truman Road and there one just south of I-70/I-270 on St. Charles Rock Road. I'll see if there is any interest from the dealerships ?? I think it would really be cool to soltrain from St. Charles ... across Mississippi River by ferry to Illinois then across the Illinois River by ferry (Ferries would be very unique Photo Ops) Perhaps we could have the ferry only with del Sols?? == ending up at Fast Eddies in Alton for Lunch. We could then drive back to the Earth City area to one or more of the race courses for afternoon fun perhaps followed by a soltrain to Chuck-A-Burger for the early evening ... Could I be the coordiator for these events as I live here and would have more local information Let me know what would be of interest to all of you at a meet. Thanks Mondo (636) 255 9999 if you want to chat or online AIM Mondobyte, Y! Mondobyte, MSN Mondobyte, Skype Mondobyte, GCHAT Mondobyte (there's some kind of recurring theme here but I haven't quite figured it out yet ... |

That sounds like a good plan there steven. Which chuck-a-burger are you talking about? I know of the original one on the rock road but I also heard that they made one out in St. Chuck. So from what people have posted up thus far that they would like to make it an all weekend kind of event to make the longer drive for some people more worth it? I can try and see if a couple of local car enthusiasts, who are pretty good at photography, might be interested in taking pictures of all of our cars. Sure would be nice if we had some club pictures of all of our current members. Has anybody mentioned this meet on say the Illinois site to see if anybody might be interested in coming from over there? The more the merrier. |
