It looks like I am going to make this after all. What are the rules regarding helmet specs. Can you use a DOT helmet or does it need to be Snell rated? I don't have a helmet so if I can pick up a cheap DOT one from Wal Mart I'll do that. I'd rather not use a loaner. Can't wait! |

I sent an email to one of their members for details and I am still waiting to hear back. From what I heard from a freind of mine all that was required last year was to wear your seat belt. I will post up ASAP when I get a run down. 2-94 Del Sol Vtec's 97 Prelude 97 Viper GTS 00 Audi S4 91 S-10 v-8 swap |

No helmet even better. Also, what's the cost for the event? I'll be there Saturday only. Also some directions and what time I'll need to be there. I'll be coming up 172 from Hannibal. Thanks |

I got this for a reply Hello; Thanks for inquiring about our event. For the event schedule and other information you need to see the flyer. You can find it on the NCCC midwest region website under event flyers www.mwregion.com As far as other requirments. You must have a snell approved helmet with a date of manufacture no older than 10 years. Your car must be some sort of sports type of car. No big family sedans or station wagon types. It must be capable of negotiating tight turns and able to pass pre race inspection. Each event consists of 2 runs, you can run as many of the events as you like. If you have any other questions , feel free to contact me. I am the autocross event commitee chairman |

the best address I can find is [8849-8899] Highway 24 Taylor, MO 63471, US on mapquest that address will get you within about 200' of the event. The track is right past the first gas station (on the north) as you drive in Missouri from Illinois (driving west) if you go over a overpass over railroad tracks that's too far. The event opens up at 7am with tech from 7am to 9am, drivers meeting 9:15-9:30am and first car out by 9:30. As always I'm sure first car out will be later than posted. I can't wait.... |

At one time, mapquest was state of the art ... now it is dismally inaccurate most of the time http://maps.google.com/maps?q=8849+High ... 3471%2C+US - if it doesn't come up with the hybrid image ...click on hybrid. You will get a real satellite photo. The track is unmistakable. |
