There isn't one in Lees Summit.

There is one off Metcalf, one in Downtown KC, and one up north off of Tiffany Springs.

Overland Park or Downtown would be best. Personally, I would do Overland Park with those choices - it is close to lots of stuff, is right off of I-435, and is only an extra half mile from Lees Summit, not to mention the fact that you won't have to fight the weekend traffic downtown in the construction zone maze that has been so thoughtfully set up by MODoT. Every time I go Downtown, I get the feeling that I should be rewarded with a piece of cheese upon successfully exiting the city.

Well interesting, the one in Overland park is also cheaper.
So any better ideas on where to stay?
Somewhere nice, preferably not over $80 a night if I'm not gonna split.
I have a pretty nice change jar saved for this but not $1,000,000.

And as for it being a long drive, eh yeah but I am going to Oklahoma for the week directly after so not that bad. and a week and a half vacation makes it worth it.

I'd just go to hotels.com and do a search in Lee's Summit; you're bound to find something for a decent deal on there.

Yeah, look in Lees Summit, Blue Springs, and Independence - those are all really close together. If you get a place in Blue Springs and think you might get lost on the way to where we meet, let me know and I can meet up with you since I live just outside Blue Springs (it took me a long time to get used to having an address listed as Independence, everyone thinks my place is in Blue Springs).

The Overland Park Embasy Suites wouldn't be bad either. Nice rooms, right by I-435 (which splits and has I-470, which runs into Lees Summit). Still, this would be the farthest away...

I know there is a hotel on either Douglas or Colburn, so I will see what it is and get back to you.

Ok, it is the Hampton Inn at Douglas and I-470. My dad has stayed there before when he was in town - not all that fancy, but it is pretty decent and not all that pricey. That would put you right in Lees Summit.

Ok, I ran by the Hampton Inn on Douglas Street last night and got a quote. If you reserve a room directly through them, the cost is $89/night OR $80/night if you have AAA.
